Praying for those who were involved, also praying that no ccfans were.

Almost. My daughter was there rooting on a friend. She happened to be at the finish line at the moment the friend crossed it which also happened to be the exact moment of the two explosions. She witnessed both from a very close vantage point. Called me within minutes. She was fine, but obviously very shook up.

Very scarey. Glad she was not physically harmed anyway.

I'm fine. Was home today. A work colleague was a few blocks away, but he was totally fine.

Wow Larry I can't imagine even having that close a call. I'm so glad she's ok. I'm sure you'll still have a very hard time sleeping tonight. Best to you and your family.

That's great your daughter is OK. I have a few friends there that were running and have not heard from them yet. Hoping they will be ok too.
I run a lot of organized races and fellow runners are asking that anyone who has ran in an organized race to wear a race shirt from a previous race tomorrow to show support.
I will be in Nashville TN next weekend running in their marathon so we are trying to plan on some supportive activities.

Which shows us that the "effort" (for not calling it "war") on terror is far from over...
Even if we retreat completely out of the Middle-East, for "them" it won't be over untill they have submitted the entire world to Islamic Law... Cold hard fact.
And please do not try to pin racism or religeous motives or whatever on me...
My prayers go out to the victims and their family! And, as always, America will lick it's wounds, mourn it's dead, rise up again and go on... Not let itself be bullied by some fanatics.

Terror is absolutely senseless. If you don’t like me leave me alone. But since you won’t I will hunt you down. We have too much mercy on this type of behavior. The price for this must be high enough to stop it not defend against it. I not king but if I was…

I just found out this morning that we know the father of the child who was killed and whose wife and daughter were critically injured. Bill is very involved in my community and lives only a couple of streets away from me. Please Keep Bill Richard, his family, and the many others in your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry about that John. Glad your daughter is ok Larry how was her friend?
I'm with Waterdog. To much mercy. I guess there is really no fear of what might happen to you if you do something like this that is a clear threat to society.
I wouldn't be to mad if we reverted back to hangings in the town square for people who are terrible enough to do something like that to innocent people enjoying their accomplishments at an event like the marathon.
I see an event like this as a threat to my self/family. If it can happen there it can happen here. The thing that sucks about media coverage is that other crazies see that and think hey they did it maybe I can.
