Gary,
Even though I've never been to your house, I have the impression that you are on high ground. If not, how did you do with last weeks rain/flooding? How high did the Fox get by you?

I had heard Rawson Bridge Road over by the Broken Oar marina/bar in Cary is now flooded over. On Thursday when I took that route, the water was just a couple of inches from coming over the road.

I am sure Gary has nothing to worry about, his house is very high up from the river. It would be interesting to see if the water is coming up over his road though.

Yes Pete we are up quite a bit from the river, most of the year we curse it but at times like this we don't mind. My Dad as a kid remembers the water up to the road but in the 40's a wider dam was put in and I have never seen it higher than it is now. Here are some pics, you can see the houses across from us,many of them have sandbags out. I can't seem to down load one showing how low it was last year from my phone,I'll try tommorow

Gary,
Thanks for posting the pictures. What's that utility pole next to your pier doing? I'm sure you can't get a bucket truck down there. Is it for retirement exercise - strap those things to your legs and go climbing???

You just have to remember the bucket will get you anywhere, you might not get out but that's what tow trucks are for---
