Ok, a little slow here getting around to knowing my boat stem to stern. 97 SN. How does the steering box work? Looks like a small rack/pinion, but how does it transfer inputs to the little rudder?
Also, is there a fuse box? Looking under/around dash...no luck...maybe somewhere's else?
Have a hot electrical/fuse line that attaches directly to batt, seems to be fuel pump, since won't start without...c'mon you SN geeks, teach me something new!

OK, not trying to be a smart ***, but lesson 1 is to read the owners manual found in the reference section. That should answer these questions.

OK, Grand Poohbah SN Obsessed...if one can't get it out of the Owner's Manual, one goes to the 'InterWeb' to get help from the boys. If I wanted *%&# from you I would have squeezed it out of your head!!! I guess next time I'll just buy a MasterCraft and get my abuse from them...thanks amigo...

Sorry, not trying to be abusive.   Just tried to lead you to the information.

Edit: Yea, my answer was weak. I apologize.

The Manual shows the circuit breakers on the dash.

yes it's rack and pinion,it's got a clevis and and a bolt attaching it to the rudder. I don't think you will find a fuse box.

That's all I recognized as a question.

If you have those push button switches that go on and off with a heavy click, they are breakers. So, the job of fuse and switch is done with one unit.

When are you taking delivery on the Mastercraft?

BTW, the manuals are in the sites reference section just in case you don't have one.

Alright men, I was having a bad day too and probably shouldn't have acted like a high school girl who got dumped at the prom...
I appreciate all your words and info and for forcing me into the books...
BTW...have flung around the lake several times this season and my SN is running like a scolded ape!!
Also, I was kidding about buying a MasterCraft...I'm a CC fan forever!!!

No hard feelings on my part.

I was in manufacturing for 40+ years, had much worse things said to me.

I hope you got the issue solved.
