New steering cable reqd for the 1994 196 SN. Its the one with the rack on the steering wheel end, but the part number has rubbed off.

Does any one know what length I would need for said boat. Can only just about move the steering ( much grunting reqd), im guessing its not a serviceable part and a new one is reqd?

Cheers

For my 1995 SN I used the Teleflex replacement steering cable from White Lake Marine (Nautiqueparts.com). Part number S220520. 1993-1997 should use the same part. It'll save you about $100 over the OEM Correct Craft part. I don't remember for sure, but I think it might be 6" longer than the OEM part. It installed perfectly and functions flawlessly.
