I need a mount for a 2 1/2" BI Boom. Old boat was a 3".

Thanks.

I might be able to save you a little time and money. I was in a similar situation when I bought a used boom that came with a 3-inch bracket. Solved the problem with a Fernco fitting from the hardware store. I slit a section out of it so it would fit. Works like a champ.

That would likely save you from marring your pylon too.

Thanks,

Has it ever tried to move on you, as in trying to move up the pylon from someone hanging on the boom and stuff?

Nope. It is thick enough that the bracket snugs down on it plenty tight. Mine hasn't budged in years, even with my 195 pounds dangling off the other end.
