Hi all,

Here are my questions to anyone who might know...

1. Did the 1989 SN have higher Horsepower than say a 1985?
2. Why do I see some 1989's with white faced gauges and some without? Are they late model year production boats using the new 1990 boat gauges?

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

I have an 89 SN. Everything on it
is still origial. It has the Ford 351
with a Holley Carb and is rated at
240hp. I can't say for sure, but
I believe this is the same standard
engine offered in all model 2001
Ski Nautiques. I think the Barefoot
Nautiques were available with both
the Ford 351 and a Chevy 454.

Now, if someone was to replace the
original engine with a new Ford engine,
it would be rated at 285hp for a
carb model and 310 for fuel injected.

I don't know about the gauges, mine
are all black faced.
