Chris, The Jetson stern light is a hot item on ebay, but they do come up pretty often. The bow lights for a '68 are fairly common and do come up quite often and sell for not nearly as much money.

Thanks - I'll keep an eye out. I have a bow light in good condition, but not one that will receive a burgee/flag pole.

Chris, It took about 6 months for me to find a Jetson stern on Ebay for a halfway decent price. It' was needed for my X55. They came in several versions. I ended up getting a model for a outboard and modifying the staff and base making the stern nav. light both taller and removable. I'll bet if you used the search feature, you could find the complete thread on what I did!!!!!!

Thanks guys! I check ebay pretty often but you never know who on this forum might have something hidden away. I'll dig up your build and might have a few questions.

So you made modifications to a Jetson stern light and it is not original?

Hahaha - Thats funny. I have read the posts on "originality" from Pete. I'm a fan of OEM stuff as well. The folks on this forum have helped me locate most of the things I have needed.
Many thanks to CCF... Now lets find that stern light

Pic of what you're looking for?
I have 2 of the Bow Light/Flagstaff Combo Items that I have on my 66 Skylark. It took me 40 years to find my 1st Flagstaff- I have since found 2 more in the last 2 years
These are gonna be a little pricey-- even from me - if you decide that this combo is what you're looking for

Marty, I am looking for some of those light parts. I got into rough water a few weeks ago and lost both my lenses. Have you received my pm's and email? Would you call me at 207 272 six 0 nine 6. Bruce
Chris, stay after Eric. He's got parts for a 68 including a restorable Jetson that I bought on ebay.

Marty, that is not the correct bow light for a '68. It should be one like http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1970s-Attwood-Boat-Bow-Light-Used-Working-/281156462355?pt=Boat_Parts_Accessories_Gear&hash=item41763b2713&vxp=mtr" rel="nofollow - this . Not sure if they all had a receptacle for a flag staff.

As usual I think Tim nailed it. If you look at the one he linked, it looks like it has a flag socket at the back. Here is the 'Cuda SS picture out of the brochure, seems to be more of a closeup than the Mustang one.

From my research the two fixtures are slightly different, however the burgee pole/flag staff location is in the same spot. I could be wrong though. Someone should start a deck hardware thread comparing the brochures on record to actual boats.
Sorry Gary, no notable progress. Just buying parts... I had the opportunity to start my own business and I went ahead with it. Money is tight and I barely have time to sleep.

So you made modifications to a Jetson stern light and it is not original? | Bruce!! I took a jetson stern light and made it ORIGINAL!! They came is several versions. Short or tall and removable or not. The X needed the tall so I made a new staff for it. It also needed to be removable so I installed a 2 pole plug and socket in the staff and base. I was surprised to find the socket actually screwed into the base and the plug pressed into the staff.
