Marty, Another option would a "retired" phone like an iphone 4. Without the sim card and no phone service, it would work over wifi just like an ipod, and used, I think would be reasonably priced. Let me know if you don't find anything. Marty ( The one man party). My daughters each have one that they no longer use. Natalie has offered hers if she can get it to come back to life. The battery has been uncharged for some time. Give me some time to see what we got, but we have two shots at it. I have is an old shuffle that she can have, but it has some of my music on it from when I was a Chippendale Dancer. Then I gained some weight and got fired. However, the chubby chasers loved me. I use to rock that G-String. Donald

My stage name was BIG DADDY !!!!!!!!!!  Marty, My oldest has a Generation 2 that will not do Face Time, but Natalie has a Gen 4 that you can have that will do face time. It has come back to life after a charge, but we are seeing how long the charge will last. It looks like I am going to be able to hook you up. They no longer use them so you can have the Gen 4. You may have to have a new battery added for longer run time. Donald |

Marty, My son was finally able to get the 4th generation Ipod running and cleared all of the stuff off it. It is not a beauty but it works. PM me if you would like this. I could mail it to you or meet you in the Raleigh area. I will not be out in your area anytime soon. Tom |

If you were looking to go new, the ipod touch is what you are looking for, but they are a bit spendy... starting at $230. I agree with the above comment on a used iphone too. Because, an iPod touch is basically an iphone without cellular. A retired iphone of 4s or later will definitely do the job. A plain 4 might as well, but you'd want to fact check that one. |

Well- No on looking for NEW ! With me still un-employed I was just looking for something used from some of you fellow CCFaner's- since I know some of you update and have kids. Limited on the funds- looking on craigslist and locally in repair shops. I knew I'd get a response from some of you guys and to my Upmost Surprise today Dec 6th, 2013-- SANTA arrived early for my Grand Daughter Brianna-- I got a package from a fellow CCFan Member and I asked and I received! The CCFan Family is GREAT ! This member PM'd me- so I'll keep his identity Secret for now. If he/she wants to reveal him/her/self- then they'll do it. Marty I hope it makes it a Christmas to remember for Brianna. I was not the only one that had a part in this after talking with you on the phone and finding out the deal and what Brianna really wanted I set the wheel in motion. A simple mass email to our fellow CCF family and a phone call the donations came rolling in. I would also like to personally thank all the CCfans that stepped up to the plate and helped make this happen. Merry Christmas. |

OK-- Know that the FULL story has been broken  To All involved- Karen, Stephanie, and Myself want to THANK ALL who were involved in this Surprise  I'm sure Brianna will be very thankful too when she opens this present from Her CCFan Family I wasn't looking for this to happen or a handout- just hoping someone had an older item that we could put to use for her in the Mabes' little bump in life Since the Secret's out- the Secret Santa Package was a Brand New PINK Ipod 5th Generation  For all those that helped out-Again Thank-You from the Mabe's- Ya'll are the Greatest Group of People we could be associated with on this thing we call The Internet..... For those who were in the process of donating their older items- I do Thank-You for your replys- didn't know that this other thing was in the works- but if the others have mailed said items already I again Thank-You for your help in this. I guess I could use any extra ones for the Purple Rain.
