A couple of years ago I remember seeing a post from someone who had done a beautiful engine rebuild post. It had some great pics and I wanted to show my son. But now I can't find it. Anyone have a clue how to find it?

There have been several. Try googling 81nautique and engine build etc and see what comes up. Alan as usual did a nice build. JoeinNY has had some nice posts on his trials and tribulations of his stroked 351

Here is the thread Gary is thinking of http://correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5789&KW=&title=351-rebuild-components" rel="nofollow - engine rebuild

there are several others that would be worth it but you'll have to search them out.

I realize that,Alan and Joe are on here and have posted those builds but because the search feature does not always find the posts you are looking for, especially old ones at that, you need to use google.

Well there you go from the engine man himself!

Nice pix. My '85 351 PCM is in the speed shop now getting rebuilt and detailed. Any info on exhaust manifolds you recommend?

Jeff
What are you looking? perfomance exhaust? Only one I seen here are the Hiteks SS, but they are in the 1500 mark...
If you are doing a mild upgrade like a head cam intake, I would keep the OEM style...they will be good...now if you are going wild on the rebuild the Hiteks seem to be the only option...
Let the Guru's chime in here...

yep thanks. just a mid upgrade like you say. The guy at the machine shop has rebuilt these before. I guess we will just clean them up and keep em...

You could count on one hand the boats on this site that 81nautique's could run with. Check out his build in his link above,he was running PCM exhausts. If they are worth cleaning up dipping them in muriatic acid does wonders.
