| I am replacing the deck and stringers. I was going to use marine plywood for the deck. I was talking to another member and he told me the fiber glass will not adhere to marine plywood. Any recommendations? Also a good location to buy the fiberglass and bonding supply's. |

Michael, I feel the other member you talked to is mistaken. He may be confusing regular plywood with treated. Both polyester and epoxy (better) stick to regular plywood. A CPES treatment is even better. FYI, marine ply and exterior use the same bonding. The difference with marine is the tight control of voids on the inner ply's since it's typically used for structural applications. Thanks guys The boat is a 84 Supra Comp I picked up last year for 2500. It had stringers put in a few years ago. I started with removing the engine for oil leaks and new carpet once the carpet was up I saw how bad the deck was laid and now the top cap is off, foam is out and I'm looking at a some what poor stringer job. At this point I think I will sister to the secondary's and rebuild the structure at the sides the mains although sloppily done look solid and the mounts line up fine. The sides of the floor were held up by stacking 1x4s and foaming them in. He was....  we talked since his post and I said....OOOP never mind...I was thinking pressure treated...Scratch that!  .It musta been a the sleet/ice we just got...you know....Brain freeze.... Mike, the pics make the verbal discussion we had about this worse...You've got a small mess on your hands but know you can handle it. Love the replacement foam job.
