Hey CCFan's,

We'll be on lake Oconee this weekend.
Anyone else heading out there as well?

Time for the Southwind inaugural 2014 ride! Just called to have them charge the battery.....

I keep my boats at Sugar Creek Marina. 2 ramps ($5 for non-storage customers) and decent docks and facilities. Also regular public ramps right across the creek. Not far from I-20; be a great starting point unless you already have some specific plan??

I'd also bet it wouldn't be too hard to twist Tim's arm into going.....

Sebastian, not going to be able to make it this weekend. Only been on the water down there very briefly. Delivered a pontoon boat to a boat customer about 30 years ago.
Will catch up with you and Jeff down there later this summer.
You staying at the Ritz?

Jim, haha...
I'm married and have a son, how could the allowance I get possibly pay for the ritz?
Friends have a place there and we plan an easter egg hunt and fun on the water

I know. Checked out the Ritz when calling on customers several years back. Very nice place to spend the weekend and bring your boat. But WOW! It is expensive. Have not stayed there myself either. Thought I would bring Robin and have a romantic boating weekend....until I found out the price was about $750 a night (which includes dinner). Had to pass on that one.

Jim: Ritz-Carlton room rates are indeed absurd but they do have a nice outdoor lakefront bar not too horribly priced for lunch, or it's at least a nice spot to stop for just a beer...but a bit far from the much nicer parts of the lake. Once a year is good for me....

Sebastian: I'd sure like to get the SWind out if you'll be around on Saturday. My cell is 404-735-0158. Reply with yours or PM me if you'd like to run around a bit.

Morfoot: If you've got no plans, be glad to pass thru McD on the way.......with no trailer it'd be a quick trip.

Jim/Tim: My old cellphone died. Please re-send me your cell numbers, thanks.

Jeff,

In case it stops raining, I'll give you a buzz.
What part of the lake are you at?
We'll be in the Greensboro area.

My boats live at Sugar Creek Marina; northwest of the 44 bridge and just past the Parks Mill Rd bridge.

I live in Peachtree City. cold/rain now. Lake forecast Sat 60% rain. Bet you'll get out some, not likely worth the trip for us, we shall see........

Also FYI, if you've not been on Oconee(?), Waterfront Marina has non-ethanol. Heading south (below 44) it's right across from where the lake does a 90 degree easterly turn around an island. West side in a cove; see rack storage barn, and condos just across the cove...your friends probably know where it is anyway.
