Hey guys, was doing some cleaning behind the dash and on the back side of the temp gauge the jumper broke. Now, is that a special kind of jumper? Rectifier Diode? The jumper that broke has 2 female connectors with a black cylinder in the middle of the wire. Will try to post a pic after work. Do appreciate it. Thanks

Was it definitely part of the temp gauge?

Does yours have an alarm? Maybe it had something to do with sharing the sender wire with the alarm?

Yes, it was the temp gauge. No alarm on this one, its an 84SN2001. Below is a pic of the before and after. I just dewinterized her on the trailer this evening and the temp seems to work good with new fix. I installed a new rectifier diode, specs below;

Peak inverse voltage (PIV): 600V
Forward voltage drop (VF) at (lf): 1.6V
Forward current (lf): 1A
Max. surge current (16ms): 30A
Reverse current at (PIV): 10ua
