I am busy restoring my 1981 Nautique and I need some advice regarding the toggle switches and fuses on the dash.
Mine has 3 switches and a cigarette lighter mounted vertically , left of the steering wheel with the corresponding fuse to the left of the switches - see pic below
Firstly - I would like to know what each is for ? Secondly - What are the chances of replacing them as 2 of them are broken Thirdly - do I need dual throw switches as they seem to have an "up , middle , and down position ?
Then I have to replace the ignition Switch as the keys are missing. Can I use a standard 3 pole ignition (BATT,ACC, STARTER) terminals ? - see pic below
I cannot find an 81 wiring diagram for the dash and switches
Any help would be appreciated

Check with McMaster and Carr company. They have an on-line catalog. They are a supply company for Industrial MFG companies, and Correct Craft used them for a lot of this kind of stuff back in the day.

Fun project. I'm re-doing the dash on my 85 SN this weekend. All those itty-bitty wires!!! And the bonus of looking up into the crumbling mess as you work allows for a real taste of the action. I maintain powerlines for a living and rarely can fix anything you can't just hit with a hammer but we'll give it a try...
The switches should be lights, bilge pump, and blower motor.
I wonder if you can ID the nav/anchor by a little wire with a bump in it. The bump is a diode (one-way valve for dc electrons)that allows you to select red green and white for cruising and just white for loitering. Mine does this with two switches. The bumpy little wire is piggy backed on the load side terms of the switches. Note which way it goes for re-installing later.
Bilge switch could have two positions for auto/manual pumping. Following out the colors of the wires not working? Blower motor should have just one lead coming off of it. Can you run anything off of the battery? You might need to hook one up temporary so you can get a test light out. I'm hoping to hear back that I was all wrong and those switches are for ejector seat, missiles, and smoke screen controls!
