(Ford 351) Engine is out of my 79 Nautique. What other maintenance should I do while engine is out?? I want to get everything ready for summer.
New Hoses wires and plugs.
Exhaust hoses.
Impeller.
Motor mounts??
Bearing for drive shaft?
-Is this difficult??
Rope for drive shaft?
-Is this difficult??
Any maintenace suggestions would be great.

the damper plat is like a flexplate on a car... it bolts between your engine and transmission..it dampins the engine torque to the transmsmion..there are springs on this plate that rust or break.. there not that expensive and easy to do when the engine is out..just sepporate the trans. from the engine and unbolt it from the engines flywheel..industrial supplie dealers sell theme cheap..there used on small bobcats..or any pcm dealer

Two things while engine is out, oil pan gasket and rear seal. If these go bad, you have to remove it again.
