I have a 86 nautique i believe it has a holly 4160 on it. its loading up when at a idle and peforming pretty bad out of the hole. the problem is i dont think i can rebuild one and i dont know who to trust around here. is there any where that you can exchange a carb for one already rebuilt.{like a starter at a parts house?} thanks......

Yes, I have stumbled on a couple of places that will exchange them but it's been a while and I can't recall where I saw the advertisements. You could do a google search, or another route would be to take it to a speed shop and get it rebuilt, most places will service Holley's. Another place to check is White Lake Marina, there are a couple of guys there that would rebuild it for you. They are in N/C.

They are the largest East Coast Correct Craft dealer.
Before you go that route, you should at least pull your fuel bowls off and make sure it's not full of corrosion from water- just to make sure you have a rebuildable carb to start with. If it's corroded it's scrap.
