Looking either to buy or have my shift/throttle control repaired. Is there someone on here that repairs them or should I look to buy one? Thanks

First off - what is wrong with it?

They can be repaired and are actually quite simple devices.

The lever seems to not center after it's put in gear then returned to neutral. If that makes sense

Your pre-load spring for the throttle cable is too tight.

Adjust the brass barrel for less tension. Adjust at the Morse. Not the carb.

Thanks DrCC but could you elaborate more? Brass barrel, Morse?

Morse refers to the type of throttle you have in your boat. Brass barrel refers to where the cable attaches to the throttle lever side of the controls.
