New guy here.
My son recently bought a 1986 Nautique and it needs a transmission overhaul due to slipping/overheating in Forward. Does anybody have a recommendation on rebuild kits for the Velvet Drive (10-17-004)? I see them on Fleabay from $99-$200. Are those any good or do they contain questionable parts?
Any help/advice you can offer is welcomed.

When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.

And,   I would recommend NOT buying the entire kit, because you will get seals and gaskets for the reduction gear that you do not need.

You can buy only the parts you need separately.

I've used Skidim.
