My 2008 196's oil drain hose kit is leaking. There is very little space between the hull and the bottom of the oil pan, less than 1 inch. I fabricated a wrench to fit in there and was able to tighten the
oil pan fitting but its still leaking leading me to belive its the hose assembly.

I have read that the motor needs to be raised to get at this.
Does anybody have any experiance with this? It looks like if the trans mounts and motor mounts are undone to raise the motor the shaft alignment would not be disturbed. Any info would be helpfull.
Thanks Mike

Haven't done this procedure but I would definitely recheck alignment when you reset the engine.
