Well its no surprise with all the other owner neglect issues on this recent Sport purchase that the dang FCC housing was overtightned when I went to replace the filter and pump hose So off comes the assy and to work so it can go on the vise. While I had it apart I decided to get it to factory or better condition. I removed brass fittings and used the wire wheel on the bench to clean them up. I wetsanded the filter housing and repainted and applied new decal. The top of the fcc is a Anodized finish so DO NOT mess it up just take some cleaner wax or compound and polish it once you remove the fittings and it will look like new again. My OCD really kicked in on this project haha! Make sure you use thread sealing paste on the fittings no teflon tape. The only thing I'm missing is the Patent decal on top of the housing. http://s1114.photobucket.com/user/862001/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140923_164741-1.jpg.html" rel="nofollow"> [/IMG]

Joey did you upgrade the electrical wiring for the high pressure pump where it passes through FCC housing.
There was a http://www.nautiqueparts.com/kitfccpassthruretrofit.aspx" rel="nofollow - FCC Repair Kit but i notice it is out of stock at the moment. Plenty of reports of leaks at this point on the older FCC's.
Looks like new

Mark i didn't replace any wiring, I inspected the wiring insulation and used my meter to Ohm out all connections prior to and after assembly and it will pass in my opinion. To my surprise after opening it up someone had put the updated pump hose and replaced the filter so I siad our famous comment in the shop " somebody's been in here before"

It's possible he never had the FCC assembly off. They used to come from the factory super tight. How did the filter look? Maybe he put it back on super tight because that is how he found it.
It looks brand new now.

Scott its deffinetly been off before as I siad in original post it had the updated pump hose and the filter was pretty clean still. What non mechanical people don't relize is that these filter housings have a oring in them once you compress the oring its sealed, no need to keep torqueing down on it Its just like a oil filter hand tight then a 1/4 to 1/2 turn to compress the seal.. And thanks for the complement now if I can just get the rest of the boat looking brand new.
