Super rare reverse gel BFN. It would be a horrible shame to part that thing out. I tried to make a deal with the owner but I couldn't pay what they wanted for a boat that needs everything.

I'd be willing to restore it but I couldn't pay their price and I live in WI.

Tim, if you buy it quickly, $1999 as pictured. I think I will come out better to part it out, so checking interest. Did you need a 454 exhaust manifold? I would like to keep the trailer and some other bits.......so parting might work better for me. I just hate to cut the hull up in the end.

Buying an entire boat for it's one remaining exhaust manifold is a little extreme Paul! I found another set- want my spare?

Be aware that this boat hit the site and had several members inquire on it before you ended up with it, so we know what it was listed at and what it likely sold for. Just the perspective of this non-buyer!

Yes sir, new math. Buy low, sell high, take offers, price comes down. I drove 280 miles round trip in a Chevy Suburban to get it.

Why do the price police come out at all?

I have never purchased parts form Paul and felt taken advantage of..... if he needed to get more out of something than I was willing to pay, I didn't buy it. I didn't post for all the world to see (literally, thanks to Google) that anything was overpriced.

I give stuff to Todd Benjamin all the time because he put me up in his home and treats me like family.... so, do I need to treat everyone the same and give away stuff to them too? We swap, trade and give sweet deals to friends all over this site. Is that what dictates the price? NO.....

People buy and sell stuff around here all the time.... taking folks to task on making money to support their hobby is wrong. If you think it's overpriced, don't buy it and be kind .... esp. to a fellow member that supplies a lot of parts for these old junkers we buy......

People lose their manners on the web - it's a shame.

Thanks Steve, I am learning, STILL learning...........some folks just are bored, have no life, and hide behind a computer stirring stuff up. Remember Steve, some people never had "manners", so it is hard to lose theirs on the web....but you are right, it is still a shame...pitiful actually.

I just know how I felt when I was selling the Tique..... I priced it where I wanted it to be to sell.... if it didn't sell, I was fine with it.

Well, the Price Police came out. There were a number of folks who "shared" their opinions on my pricing. They never knew the boat or the folks that brought her to where she was when Wayne bought her from me... But there was free sharing of their opinions on how overpriced it was.... it was unnecessary and rude.

Not a lot of crap is given to the cost of platform brackets on the site, costs of specialty items, etc. I think we should be grateful that the site is as strong as it is, with a lot of offerings from a lot of different folks.

Keep posting Paul.... what you've seen above doesn't mean folks don't want to know what you've got available......

Jody (4woody), I will let you know shortly. I am very likely going to part it out and you have dibs on the observer seat sections. I have another guy wanting the rear seat. So the drivers seat and a stripped down engine box will be all left of interior.

I may call you tonight or tomorrow night to discuss.

Not to be defending anyone, but I am not sure that oldcuda even knew that Paul had purchased the boat and is now reselling it. He may have thought that Paul was the same guy with it listed on craigslist (kind of sounded that way from his last post).

For the record, I don't care if someone buys low and sells high. It usually connects the dots for many people looking for parts.

Anyway, you guys all horrible human beings.

Paul needs a blanket party!! Not because of the BFN, instead because he did not show up to Reid's last month, same goes for that Murph Guy!!!

Chris I agree, sure would be a shame to see it sent to the abyss.

I've been in talks with quite a few guys and will definitely be parting this BFN out........ I have a few things that guys have early dibs on.....but will come up with a detailed list of items for sale with photos and prices shortly. May be Monday or Tuesday when I get it done. My goal is to keep the trailer and the underwater gear and sell most of the rest. This hull is in the worst shape of any boat I have ever seen in person of this vintage....no way it is worth fixing. The cracks in the gel coat on the sides below the BAREFOOT NAUTIQUE decals... are deep and wide enough to put a dime in....it is crazy.

No idea....text me an offer if you need it. I don't have the key to the lock, and the hinge is un-glued from the lid.....BUT, nothing appears to be broken....the acrylic lid seems fine, looks fine, and of course the part in the dash is great...(hope the base just pushes out from underneath....will have to investigate it). Unit is still in boat.

Let me know your thoughts.

Correct Craft changed resins in 1987 and it was not successful. Regel a nicer starting point.

Do you know what right the word is for the "Impellor", fact is just one plastic blade or paddle broke off putting my Ski Nautique 1980 on the trailer.

Thanks

Hi,
Do you have the rope guide rails/brackets that fit on the stern of the boat?

Thanks,
Pamela

Pamela, there is no ROPE GUIDE Rails/Brackets on this Barefoot Nautique. Are you needing that piece for your Ski Tique or Ski Nautique?

Pamela,

The rope guard can be rather easily recreated with a piece of aluminum tubing from West Marine and the appropriate 30degree bracket thats in the same aisle. The bracket isn't entirely correct from the original, but close enough. Im guessing it's a 30* angle.

I check that out next weekend.
At the end of the season last year I was docked when a boat waked me and it pushed the stern under an iron rebar and twisted the rail. I still have the brackets. Thanks
