Motor still bolted in junk 1979 Ski Nautique. Motor is in unknown condition, missing exhaust manifolds and carb. Everything else still here....all bolt on items on front of motor, distributor, and the Velvet Drive transmission is still bolted up also. Prefer someone come pick it up. Call or text for quickest response (980)581-0006........ $500 for what is left of MOTOR and Transmission with all mounts...we will just un-bolt from stringers and lift it out. This motor and transmission has not been in the rain, has been covered with the original engine box.

I'd sure like that raw water pump. I would like a spare to rebuild with new bearings....don't want to attempt it on mine and mess it up.
I also need to lengthen my drivers side exhaust pipe. Its a bit short because I have a pcm manifold on that side and it has a higher connection point than the commander log does. Two hose clamps and it still leaks a bit. Can a section be joined inline?
If only you were closer.....

Corey,
What kind of clamps are you using? Maybe it's due to the hose being too short but, try some T bolt type clamps. Yes, the hose can be lengthened but you would need a section of tubing between the hoses. The down side to this is it doubles the potential for leaks however, good clamps and it should never leak.

Thanks for the reply Peter.
The angle and position of the elbow on the pcm manifold is higher up, and on less of an angle than the commander one. So when the exhaust pipe was lifted up to reach, the top of the pipe does not quite stretch fully to cover the end of the pcm manifold.
It does not help that the cut on the end of the pipe at that point is a bit poor, and one bit of the reinforcement wire is peeling out at that point.
The PO used what looks like regular hose clamps, and they are tight enough to have sunk a bit into the pipe.
Since the first time I started this boat the water weeps a little bit at the top of the connection, and adding a second hose clamp has not eliminated the leak.
I thought about adding some muffler silver tape as a wrap. (cheap and cringeworthy I know)...lol

Maybe if I pull all the clamps and heat up the pipe with a heat gun, I can make an attempt to re-seat the hose better.

What clamps are best?

Thanks again.
Corey.

Mr Nautiquefanatic sir, are you unwilling to part with just the raw water pump?

Let me know. I have no idea what snail mail costs from me you to me, but its worth a look if you'd sell it on its own.

Thanks.
Corey.
