In the process of restoring a 76 Ski Nautique. Boat came without drivers seat, spotters seat and rear seat. All I have is the doghouse. I am wondering if I should try and buy seats or try and build them. They don't look overly complicated to build but purchasing sounds a lot easier.
Anyone know of someone who is parting a boat that has seats like these? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

I think shipping would kill you on the drivers seat. Observer seat isn't a problem, 2 pieces of plywood joined with brackets. The brackets can probably be closely duplicated if you had originals.
The back seat is actually foam snapped to the glass panel that hides the gas tank, I think in my diary there's a pic that might show mine and give a good idea. The rear seat came 2 ways, one big solid chunk of foam, no frame or anything or 3 individual foam cushions that just wedged across the back on the floor. Having both set ups, I much prefer the 3 individuals pieces. I advise going to Christines interiors here in Orlando, they've had a NOS gray single cushion (the 1 or 3) for $20. Buy it and use as a template for sizing.
Drivers seats in '76 came two ways. Later models had I guess 2 pieces of plywood joined with brackets. Earlier models had a glass 1 piece frame, bottom and back all one. I often wanted to play with glass and use a medium sized garbage can as a mold and try to recreate the seat, I think it'd work.

There's a guy in orlando parting out a good '80 SN, same interior as late 76. He posted on here as well as craigslist. I contacted him a long time ago and he turned out to be real jack@$$. Judging by his persistent texts over the last few months I believe he still has quite a few pieces. I didn't care to deal with him but it's a possible lead.

Thanks for the information guys. I'll take a look at Christines and see what I can come up with. They look easy enough to fabricate. Just need foam, that's the tough part...

I built the back seat for my 76 SN and added storage under the seat.

Other than the aluminium frames I built my seats from scratch and covered the dog house, but in honesty using good quality marine vinyl, foam and UV resistant thread, and CPESing the wood it turned out pretty expensive. It also took a lot of work - that said I enjoyed it and it gave me the flexibility of being able to make them exactly as I wanted though. I also managed to do a double spotters seat, bucket style with centre lumber separating either side, which helps get an extra person on the boat

I'm gonna give this project a go. I will design some plywood frames to add a little storage to the interior. I've done a bit of research and think I can handle it. What radius' are you speaking of?

I've decided to put my efforts towards finding a replacement interior. I posted an ad here with a few responses but nothing locked down yet. Keeping my hopes up....
