| What does pcm use to fill the automotive dipstick hole in the block. It is on the port side rear in a moon shaped cut away. |

| The Welch Plug if available is certainly the preferred choice. Saw the same question over on a Ford Mustang website / forum. One suggestion was to use a spent brass - 9 mm Cartridge casing. According to the information provided it is easily swaged into place using a hammer and a drift punch. |

Jody, I'm glad to hear that someone used a proper method of plugging the hole and didn't pound some old shell casing into it. | The guy on the Ford forum with the spent cartridge casing idea had already buttoned up his oil pan and installed the engine before he found the second dipstick hole in his block and could not tap the hole without getting metal shavings in his new engine. I think he knew it was a hack fix because he joked about having a "bullet" engine rather than a "billet" engine........... |
