Anybody here like Dirt Bikes? Anybody got any? I want a Yamaha TT-R 125LE. Amazing bike, hope to get it in the next 2 years. But a dream bike when I'm older, I'd want a kx500. It rips and haven't heard/seen of many people to pin it all the way.

I have a crf450r collecting dust :/
The 500 two strokes are no joke but neither is a modern 450 4 stroke.

XR80 first bike (with a clutch) I ever rode. The first bike I rode was a crf50. I want your XR80 . But the RM, I wouldn't be able to get on it, let alone start it . Good bike collection!

Atleast you got a bike, All i got is a piece of junk-welded together go-kart. I'd give anything for a Dirt Bike. But I guess it's something.

Sorry pal, the XR is going to #2 son (11) #1 son (13) is moving up to a 125 I have yet to find. YZ, CR, Rm or KX I dunno yet. I have until April to get that sorted out though... Stay with the bikes, Youll get way more chicks with a bike than a quad..

What about a ktm 150 if he wants a full-blown race bike. . Part of me wants a 2-stroke. Like the good 'ol saying if you ain't mixing gas, you ain't hauling a**(ss). I'd get a honda ATC before a quad .

Haha never heard of that. I'll have to tell my friend that at school and he'll probably get pretty mad since he races for KTM. Me myself I'm a honda guy becuase that's all my family rode. But the TTR-125 is just calling my name.

I have a spot in my heart for Hondas too. I did have at one time a Triumph but found out that while I like working on them I liked to ride them too,the Triumph would have none of that. I understand that it would be worth some money now though. I still have my very first bike a 69 Mini Trail 50. I also have a 69 Mini Trail 70,a 74 TL 125,my favorite rider and a 76 MR 250. The most "modern" in the fleet is a 99 xr70. They all run and have the original paint.

I started out on a Hodaka Super Rat. Had very peaky power band but was a fun toy. The next bike I had was a Suzi PE175 Enduro. That one had a great suspension. The last one's I had were a pair of Honda 100's, to treat my son during his teen years, but sold them to raise funds for the SN purchase. (Also was concerned about injury out in the woods).

I started out on a '74 Mini Trail 50 (back in '74). Moved up to a Honda 100. That burned up in a house fire, so I moved up to a '78 YZ125. That thing was sweet. Near the end, I rode the YZ on the ice more than the trails. Now I kick it on this monster. I'll bet you can't hold on to this thing in third gear.

I was an SL70 kid
had my KDX200 till just a few years ago. awesome wudz machine after correcting the fat factory jetting and soft front springs.
However, Wife is selling her TTR125L. Bought it new for her in 2000 Used vary sparringly, gently, and some years not at all.
Took it apart and greased everything before it was ever used once. BBR skidplate and chain guide, moose tool pouch, Acerbi hand guards
Its cherry, needs nothing but a new home.

Man I miss riding... This thread has bummed me out for the morning. http://s256.photobucket.com/user/treybizttu/media/Dirt/3036_688225773038_16711324_40298616_6633514_n.jpg.html" rel="nofollow"> http://s256.photobucket.com/user/treybizttu/media/Dirt/11048_753697127918_16711324_42921822_4983159_n.jpg.html" rel="nofollow"> http://s256.photobucket.com/user/treybizttu/media/Dirt/11048_759972751518_16711324_43126235_4879128_n.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">
And Back when I still had riding buddies.... I miss these camping/trail riding weekends the most. I managed to have 5-6 of my good friends that I grew up with on dirt bikes in our early 20s. Most of them had never ridden but when I moved back from college they started riding with me. Not a one of them has a bike anymore. http://s256.photobucket.com/user/treybizttu/media/Dirt/3036_688245204098_16711324_40299233_4270516_n.jpg.html" rel="nofollow"> http://s256.photobucket.com/user/treybizttu/media/Dirt/3036_688245119268_16711324_40299231_2396028_n.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">

You miss it and I never got to do it. One of the highlights of my last FL trip was riding seascamper's youngest son's TL70 around the yard, predominantly in second gear.

It was all consuming for most of my late teens and 20s. Rode a little here and there growing up but my folks didn't really care for it.
I took an involuntary care flight at 28; had a mini-me, got a non-motorcycle related career to actually use my degree, and got married.... I've been on a dirt bike less than a dozen times since in the 5 years.
I've always said I will start riding again if my son wants to but I will stick to trails. MX gave me a nice limp in the mornings and metal in most of my extremities.

Seeing my cousins riding always angered me. One day I will move to the country and ride anytime I want and anywhere I want.

I had a Yamaha YZ490 for many years. Great bike. I did a lot of sand dune riding in Utah. When I moved to Texas, I sold it, as there were not many open-to-the-public places to ride. No real public land -- all private land.
Now that I'm back in Utah, I'm thinking about getting a new YZ450F...
