I need the wiring harness for a 1988 2001 ski Nautique. I just need the one that connects everything in the dashboard and control panel..... Gauges, switches ect... Everything up to that point is fine, but from the pigtail that connects everything in the dashboard and control panel has been butchered. Any help would be appreciated.

Most of that was wired by CC. The only thing that is available is the pig tail end that comes out of the 8 pin connectors and I believe only one of those is still available.

Alfred,
Welcome to CCfan. How about some pictures as well as more info on the boat? A diary entry would be great too.

You say everything is fine except under the dash. Consider cleaning it up. Many here have and gone with terminal strips to eliminate daisy chaining. Also using adhesive lined heat shrink crimp on connectors is always best. Another upgrade is running heavier gauge wire up the dash. This eliminated the voltage drop many encounter.

Pete will point you in the right direction. The quality of the wiring was ok but not usually good enough to stand up to 30 years of corrosion, vibration, and unqualified mechanics changing things.

It is pretty simple just will take you some time. Doing a full rewire is probably your best option for success in the long run.

Correct! They didn't even use tinned wire!

Alfred,
I didn't mention the tinned wire. It is recommended as well.

Pete, we just did a complete dash rewire on a Footer. Much better results.

Mine operates pretty well but next winter when I can afford that new dash panel it will be all new and probably quite revised when I get in there.
