Greg,
If you are thinking of having vinyl decals made from a digital picture, don't. A picture will not give the proper shape of the decal due to the curvature of the hull. Some have made the mistake and ended up with graphics very misshapen. Not wanting to embarrass members, I have a list of the bad someplace and would PM them to you. If you are planning on painting them like the originals, then ask if someone can trace theirs for you. I won't have access to my Tique for several months.

It might be easiest to start from the 85 ski graphics in the references section... That is what i did when i recut the 2001 on the back of my 88. I measured the original graphics before i removed them then altered the file in the references section in illustrator to have them cut at the correct size. They came out a perfect match I think.

If you can take measurements I can help you. Im a graphic designer so it wont take long for me to alter the letters on those graphics to say ski tique and adjust the angles and lengths for you.

Figured i would offer.....

Also I would suggest 3m outdoor vinyl. It is more expensive but i have had no problems with mine so far.

Thank you I have been in touch with a person who has an original. I have been able to get the measurements that I needed and as well as a good picture of the lettering. I think that for the time being I am going to use decals and in the future I will remove the decals and paint the strips on. thanks for your help

Greg,
Make sure you post some pictures of the results. We may learn something.

I'm interested in finding out how you make out with your decals. I am trying to find the original font for my 76 Ski Nautique. I'm looking to paint mine in the correct font but am having trouble finding anything on this boat. It's fighting me every step...
