Old man winter stopped by here too. 73 degrees yesterday, now 34 degrees. Dropped 40 degrees in 24 hours here in ATL and windy as can be. Looks like Mr. Morfoot won't be riding the Victory to the airport tomorrow..

Among other things, it needs all new seat cushions. Tim, if it is repairable, who would fix it?

We'll go to the south side near midway, strip the front clip off another and it will be as good as new

You might be surprised..... We've got a hanger up there so thats where it'll go. It's probably quaranteed until the Feds can crawl all over it and pull the black boxes which I'm sure was done right after they got it off the runway.

Once DAL gets a hold of it the structual engineers from DAL and Boeing will have a looksie to see if it can be repaired. If it can I would imagine that we would do it ourselves.

Several years ago a MD-88 ran over a truck and just like hollywood the truck caught fire doing severe damage to the left wing root. After seeing the damage I thought for sure they were gonna scrap it but it was Hanger #10 for about 8 months and they got her all fixed up.

Depends on how old the A/C is and to whether it's even cost effective to fix her. If not, then rob her of everything she has that's salvageable then off to be used for beer cans I'd guess.
