Vance, It may help knowing who's 302/351 maninization you have. I believe some were cast and others were fabricated. If fabricated, you could reproduce one pretty easy.

Vance, Have you figured out what engine you have? You didn't mention what boat it's in ether so I have to assume it's in a 77 Southwind per your screen name. IF it's the original engine, then most likely it's a PCM but could also be a Escort. 77 was a big transitional period for the Escort and bolt on's were pretty mixed. The bottom line is more information would be helpful.
How about some pictures? We love them.

My southwind is a 74 so undoubtedly has a different marinization but if you are in Pensacola there is a very knowledgeable shop on the site called Florida Inboards in Panama City. contact him if he can't help you nobody can. Someone on here please pipe with his real name so 77 can call him

I started the project last summer and ran out of funds. I also need an alternator bracket as well as a timing chain cover. Last summer I got the 351W PCM running and it sounded amazing, like and old hot rod. But unfortunately the circulating water pump started leaking from the bottom of the pin hole and starting spraying out of the sides next to the inlet ports. So to make a long story short I tried tapping a size bigger for the bolt that holds the alternator bracket because the precious hike was stripped out and tried to use healy coils for the three bolt holes on the top of the water pump and neither of the attempts were successful.

Meant to say previous hole. Not precious hike. Lol

Vance, Great that you found the bracket. The internet sure is fantastic. I remember when you had to look in the yellow pages and then make tons of phone calls!! So, is the engine a PCM? Don't forget the pictures!

There is a new timing cover on ebay but I think it the rare solid gold one. I was looking because I needed to change my pump and wasn't sure the bolts would come out. After looking it over I realized it is cast iron as opposed to my HM's aluminium, the bolts came right out.

I was looking at that timing cover. I cant believe he wants 249.00 for it, but then I can because of how rare it is. Thank you
