I think thats what it is called, there's a ball mounted on the stringer that the clamp for the steering at the rudder end of cable. Mine is ready to fail.
is this a standard interchangeable part between SNS, BFN, FN, etc?
i'll post pictures later if im not clear enough. looks like a fairly cheap part (relatively speaking of course) that i should be able to buy through any supplier.

I believe that is a teleflex part (I have seen it referred to as the clamp block), as it works in conjunction with their cable and clamp tube.

They're about $96+. You can probably find a used one easy enough.

Oh i see, they are a full set. I will have to check online now that i know what they are called. i was searching for ball joint or pivot joint.thanks! my actual clamp is in good shape its just the mount on the stinger that is rotted. constant salt water sitting in the bilge will do that.
