I thought it would be helpful to share some information I collected.

I recorded vacuum data (from a MAP sensor) while driving at steading state speeds (not accelerating). The graph I attached has RPM on the Y axis and vacuum on the X axis. I also added some reference lines to show when a 2.5 and 6.5 power valve would open.

My engine is modified with Cam research camshaft, GT40p heads and a performer RPM intake. A stock cam would yield a different curve (higher vacuum levels) than what I am showing. Also, I was the only person in the boat and not towing any skiiers. However it does show a good example of when a power valve would open to enrichen the fuel mixture.
