Having had some recent temperature issues I decided to pull the trigger on an engine temp / oil pressure alarm. I remember reading about it in the http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=781" rel="nofollow - Inexpensive Protection for Your Engine thread . The installation seems pretty straight forward; install a Tee in the oil pressure line and thread the temp sensor into the intake manifold. The problem is my intake manifold only has 2 threaded ports, both of which are currently being used (stock temp gauge sender & heater supply).

While doing some searching to find an alternate port I came across this picture in the http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=27906" rel="nofollow - Some Gt-40 engine questions thread.

It mentioned that the temp sensor was located in one of the ports on the water pump.
Can I used one of these to mount my alarm sensor?

I just looked on www.skidim.com and found the device. Since I've removed my ECM brain-box, I think that I will install the audible warning device as a just-in-case feature. Thanks for the heads-up.
