I've seen the chrome and black ones, but has someone repopped the white and black ones? Also, who has the right sized american flag decals for an early CC?

Timely post as I have been thinking my 3 decals are getting a little tired (new in 2008). I originally got them off ebay, but looked recently and couldn't find them. But marty's post makes me think they came form Garzon. I found them on N3's site by some oddball google search, since their site is under construction now. But they have them. I also just found that Christines has them. Need to be careful on size. I have to go back and measure mine. They come in a variety of sizes. Christines are 6 x 4.5. Garzon are varied, Since 1925 comes in 5x6, 4.75x6 and 5.5x7 while the flag only in 4.75x6 and 5.5x7. I like them all the same size. I seem to recall Pete saying in the original set, one was bigger than the other (I think the since decal was the bigger) and he even went through the trouble of having the bigger ones made. Anyway, like I said, I have to go back and measure what I have now. Garzon's price is better, 40 for a set vs 60 for christines and N3.

That would be great Moj as I need a set for the 72. Been on my list of things to do but still tinkering with this blasted trailer I picked up over Mothers Day weekend. Allllllllmost done.

So far no luck with getting ahold with Stan C for these emblems.. Does anyone communicate with him ? I'd like to find out if he has any of these emblems left. Kind of sounds like he got out of molding them..

Oh I wouldn't expect a PM to reach him, he hasn't been on the site in a decade. He was still receiving emails at the same address a few years ago and was responsive... But give him a call. I sent you his #, but it's been posted here before.

On that note I'm really in need of them as the port side has gotten worse after a weekend of boating. The emblem broke again taking a chunk out the T with it. Since the 72' has a lot of Chrome on it I'm thinking maybe I need to replace them with the metal ones Art is having made up. I do realize its NOT original but I think they go with all the chrome better IMHO. Any thoughts on this? Definately would hold up better. Wonder why they didn't stick with the metal emblems with the guages, lifting rings, rope guides, and filler neck all chromed out?

^^ Cost. Stay original.
I talked with Stan a few months ago about the emblems. He's still around and the emblems too. Since then I lost contact with him and didn't get to order them.

I don't think it would look better, wouldn't look terrible, but not better. Embrace your 70's ness

No chrome emblems on a '72. (No new holes either).
The plastic hold up just fine and never get pitted.
