Where does one find a new hose shaped like this one off my '72 Skier?

At the parts store.

Make the kid behind the counter who isn't busy looking-up wrong auto parts get up off the stool and go stare at the back hose wall till he finds you one.

i have a question. why are you running a pcv instead of just a breather? maybe its a stupid question but i've always run just plain old breather.

NAPA, O'Reilly, Auto Zone don't have this hose.
Why run PCV?
I don't run one on my Model "A", but on the boat, I prefer crankcase fumes to be returned to combustion chamber to be burned .

I run them because the engine manufacturer has put them on,I certainly would have no reason to remove them. They are on both my PCM's and my HM.
Grant how about posting a picture in context of how it fits on your engine, yours has an extra bend that I have never seen. I wonder why. Scott Drake had one for my 69 but they have nothing shaped like that.

Gary,
I believe it was California in the early 60's that required PCVs (or something similar) on cars.
I'd hate to see their smog today if those emission control efforts had not been made then.

Actually, I'm probably going to re-route the PCV circuit on my boat. (I've said that earlier here.) If successful, I won't need the "curly" hose pictured above. I've been working on that project this past week.

Per you request, and FWIW, here's the

Don't see why from the pic why you could not use one of http://www.drakeautomotivegroup.com/Store/ProductSearchResults.aspx?wid=141&kw=pcv%20hose" rel="nofollow - these a regular auto parts store should be able to get one.

Tony:
You are fine without the PCV - many older boats didn't have them. The logic being that in salt water use the throttle is open for long sustained periods and there is little or no engine vacuum to evacuate the gases from the crankcase anyway, so they were just vented from the valve cover up to the breather. It makes more sense on tow boats used for skiing - they run hard through the course and then throttle back and the vacuum is high enough to pull the gases through the PCV.

I just built an engine for my Fish, w/o a PCV. There is no vacuum port on the Marine Holley and if you pipe it into a runner on the intake that one spark plug will receive all of the gases and be fouled in short order.
