Hello,
I will be pulling the trans from my '86 Martinique Bowrider soon for a rebuild. I understand that it has a BW 1:1 velvet drive transmission. It began leaking badly and recently slipped, and ran hot a few times, so I've been told a rebuild is in order.
I'm looking for a reputable shop or individual that does quality work (I understand that not all rebuilds are necessarily the same) to send my tranny to for the R&R.
I'm located in the Southeastern US (Alabama), but can ship the trans unit if needed.
Any feedback on this topic is appreciated.

Jeff, I highly recommend Fantastic Finish Marine. They have a web site.

I heard a milk crate makes a suitable shipping container.
