Hello All,

I have 1971 Martinique that needs a new helm and steering cable. The original is a Teleflex Midi T with a "green" cable. I have researched this site and the entire internet and have found an overload of information. The replacement is suggested to be a Safe-T QC (SS137XX). Does anyone have suggestions or comments about the Safe-T QC? Is there a better choice? Any information is greatly appreciated.

By the way. The boat was purchased when I was 15. I spent many hours being pulled behind it on the Ohio near Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Now, I'm using it to pull my kids. The motor and floor have been replaced. The interior is all original.and still in great shape. The steering cable has been getting stiff for the past couple of years and the helm is 44 years old and tired.

Thanks, again!
