I have a 1962 Aqua Skier with a Chrysler 318 "Poly" engine.. The original exhaust manifolds cracked some time ago and were replaced with Osco manifolds. They have since cracked and I can only find one in the nation. I would prefer to replace with the original style manifold but finding them has proven to be impossible. I have tried all of the marine salvage companies I can find with no luck. If anyone has any ideas please advise. If I can't get this engine running I may have to re-power with a small block. I want to keep this boat original so please dig deep and give me any leads you can.

Bill, PLEASE don't repower! Do you still have the original manifolds? If so, have you considered repairing them? I've seen plenty of very old classic (after WWII) and antique (pre WWII) manifolds repaired with fantastic results. In most cases, the repair is better than new. Crow Custom Cast are the experts. It's not cheap due to all the labor but in most cases worth it cost to preserve the original. http://www.castmetalwelding.com/" rel="nofollow - Crow Custom Cast

The Osco aftermarket manifolds are in a welding shop now. May or may not be repairable. The originals were taken off by my dad's friend around 1998. He is looking in his scrap pile but it is highly unlikely that anything will be found. Call all of your friends! Someone has got to know someone with one of these engines sitting around.

Hope you find the originals
Those Oscos work but weigh about 8x more than the Chrysler castings.

Can you post pictures on this forum or text pictures to (706) 575-6599? I found some "ramshorn" manifolds but want to go with the original style if possible. Thanks, Bill
