Are any of you computer nerds on here Windows Movie Maker users? Despite lots of criticisms of it, I have been using WMM for years with satisfying results. All of a sudden, when I upload videos to it, as soon as I click on the play button to view and edit the uploaded video, the image in the upload window turns into a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it and the video plays back as a black screen and no audio. Troubleshooting has turned up a billion suggestions including stuff about codecs and filters but most of that is beyond me. I am thinking video drivers, but I want to be careful messing with software as this is a work computer.

Run movie maker as either an Administrator or run it in Compatibility mode.
