Has anyone had any experience replacing the gunwale around a 1993 Barefoot Nautique / Nautique Excel? I really don't need to replace the whole gunwale, just the colored vinal strip inside of it. Where can I find this strip, and how hard is it to replace? ------------- "You could buy a cheaper boat, but you would have to ride it" |

it wasn't difficult installing the rubrail, HAmick i too had the rop insert in my rubrail & decided to go with a new black rubrail with a black insert, looks good & upgrades it a bit,, total installation time w/ my dad & I was about an hour & 1/2 i think,,, the only semi difficult part is getting the plastic insert into the rubrail, but i just used a heat gun, gently heated it, wetted my hands, pinched it & fed it into it,,, your fingers will hurt for a bti after but ehhhh... its worth it i'd say.
