I have a 79 nautique 351W with what appears to be an automotive alternater no spark arestor and says motorcraft. It has four posts but only two are occupied. The orange (output) and green (field). No ground (black) or auxiliary (brown). I have a 850CCA batt that starts the boat 3-4 times then recharge. Not sure what the previous owner did with the other wires any ideas you electrical gurus other than ger a spark arrestor in it  Thanks Rob------------- Lake Livin' Rocks |

screw the spark arrestor,
