| Thanks to all that helped me with the impeller change, it was very easy! So now that I have done that, I want to assure there were no other issues before the painful tow to the lake with the family. Is there an easy way to run water through the boat so I can run it and make sure it doesn't overheat? I don't have fake lake and don't want to run it dry..?? |

Search this site for winterization process and it will show how to run anti freeze out of a 5 gallon bucket. Simply omit the af and keep the hose running into the bucket. I would suggest using a clear hose from the bucket to your inlet line. ------------- '05 206 Limited '88 BFN |

Question alone the same lines as the OP. My SN has a Perko Pro fresh water flush kit installed. Could I use this instead of Fake a Lake (see attached picture)? Likewise for winterization could I not also feed anti-freeze in through the Perko Pro device? Thank you advance.

I hope it stays in one piece. Perko has supposedly improved them but they have been know to break! For simplicity, ruggedness and a device that works, I'd go for the one and only Timmy T!!  As for sucking in the antifreeze, I go with the pour in method as many do and also the suggested method by PCM!!! No buckets. No hoses, No mess. I'm not trying to be funny at all. The timmy t is simply a hose connection method that one of our oldest respected members came up with.
