Ive never owned a Ski Naitique but have a friend who just did a total remodel of his 1989 351W
New paint, upholstery, engine and tranny overhauled. This boat looks and runs like new. His father just passed and left him $$$ so he bought a new mastercraft. He is offering me the boat for 4000 or 5000 with a good trailer. Thoughts please. Just for pleasure crusing mostly but my son is a professional cable wakeboarder so im sure it would be used for that. Thanks for the input.

One dollar?

What year? We'll need pics to make an accurate assessment.

How many hours total on the boat? On the rebuilt engine & trans?

8O hrs on rebuild not sure on the total boat. Friend has had it since new and it never spent a night uncovered. I will be getting all this info Wed. when I meet him. Just wanted a ball park. He says he's basically given it to me and could probably ask 10grand

Why would the boat need a total redo, interior, paint, etc., if it's never spent a night uncovered?

When you say paint, do you mean gelcoat?

If it needed an interior, it probably needed stringers and a floor too, did he replace that as well?

There are pro cable wakeboarders?

That price seems fair to me if indeed it is as nice as you say. Thats about the amount i would say you want to be into one of those boats as a turn key and you will be doing good. Problem is they will never be worth a whole lot more. Even fully restored.

10k is a bit of a stretch though.

IMO $4000-$5000 is a fair price with decent trailor, without stringer rot and a good motor/trans.

I also wonder what was painted. Looking forward to seeing some photos.
