Once again the amazing Malibu Open tournament will be held this weekend right on the lake shore in Milwaukee. For those of you not into 3-event skiing it might be nice to see what these boats are designed to do (even though they are not CCs in this case). Support and root for the atheletes that are driving our sport forward and in many cases helping to design our boats. It's a great time, a festival atmosphere with lots to see and do for the whole family. We'll be camped out on a blanket there all day Saturday. It is an AMAZING site.

If you have not seen a jumper go 200+ or somebody rip through the slalom course at 41-off it might be time to do so.

Be sure to watch the webcast at work all day Friday: http://livestream.com/sportpixusa/2015MalibuOpen" rel="nofollow - http://livestream.com/sportpixusa/2015MalibuOpen Prelims will be running all day. Finals on Saturday.

Wish they did something like this in our neck of the woods. The bud pro tour in the 90's was awesome! Video is great but there's nothing quite like seeing it up close in person. Enjoy, Joel.

We put on an Eastern Regional Show Ski tournament @ Batterson Park. The site where the Bud Pro tour was held. You are right Tim. The New England tournaments are far and few! and nothing at pro level.

Wish we could go!

7 hour drive is just far enough to be unrealistic for a short weekend.

I'm usually there every year. Very very cool event and you get extremely close to the skiers. Plus, it's right in my backyard.

Alas, I'm in Seattle this weekend and will miss it for the first time in 3 years.

Like Chris said, you get crazy close to the skiers. Some of the bouy's are literally 20 feet from the shoreline. AWESOME venue to watch.

Having said that, Joel what do they do in case of rain/inclimate weather?

They have padding in the schedule. It rained pretty good a couple years ago so there was just a pause in the schedule. I'm bringing a 12x12 canopy.

The show must go on.

What an awesome picture Joel (the last one of Nate). Look at how far the observer has to turn to see him rounding the ball. It's unbelievable how high up on the boat they get.

She wouldn't have to lean past the windshield and turn as far if in a CC...
