I have a 2011 SN 200 OB with the chrome letters on the side and stern. They are coming off. Two of the large letters on the side, the word "TEAM" also on the side. While these may have come off from impact I doubt it because I'm pretty careful. The more unexplained is the letters on the stern have also come off. These are in a position that doesn't get any impact as the swim platform protects them. When I examine the letters that have come off I can see that the adhesive is still on the hull. The foam that is inside the raised letters however has separated and that is what I think is failing.
Has anyone else seen this problem?

Have you used any cleaning or protection products on your hull like 303 Protectant?

I have a 2011 as well and some are starting to peel. I have not used anything besides wax on mine.

We don't normally have any issues with the stuff other than people blowing it off the sides because it sticks out. That said, I do have some letters broken away from the hull I can sell which is way cheaper than buying the whole words.

Zach, my S and K on starboard side are coming loose. Do you have those?

I have not used anything special on the hull. Just boat wax. I wouldn't think cleaning/wax compounds could get at the form inside. Correct Craft has been replacing them under warranty. It would be nice to know the root cause of the problem and how prevalent it has become.

I doubt that wax would cause a problem. The reason I mentioned it is because a few months after I sprayed my boat with 303 the SKI NAUTIQUE stickers started pealing off and I had to replace them. That was a long time ago but since then I am careful about what products I use. I would expect it would have to be something sprayed on to get into the foam or adhesive. I know people that spritz their boats after each use with cleaners like Just Ducky or vinegar and water etc... Probably not a problem just something to think about.
