I have a seam splitting in my driver's seat. Instead of taking the entire boat in, I was thinking about removing the driver's seat and taking it to be repaired outside the boat.
How does the driver's seat come out? Do I take the entire base from the floor or can I take just the seat/back off separately?

Our '92 had four bolts under the seat cushion that attached it to the seat racks. Have you tried lifting the cushion to see if there are any bolts?
We didn't have to remove the base to remove the seat.

Did you ever figure this out. Looking to replace my driver's seat skin this coming spring as well.
Figure it's similar on a 93 and a 95, and a lot of other years as well.

JPASS is correct. On my 99, lift the seat bottom and undo the 4 nuts that hold the seat to the seat tracks. If I remember correctly, they are square head bolts that prevent them from spinning inside the track as you take the nuts off on the top side. If your seat does not slide smoothly then this is a good time to either service or replace the seat tracks. Christine's Marine had the best price on them when I replaced mine last summer. To remove the tracks, there is a hole in the middle of the black base. Use that to get a wrench on the backside while you loosen from the top.
