| What a mess we have in Paris and Brussels. The world is slowly coming to grips with an answer to this problem and I seriously don't think it's going to be a good for travelers. I'm on a plane pretty much every week. I cannot wait to retire and wake up each morning looking out at the water (somewhere) and kissing the road warrior lifestyle behind. It just keeps getting worse. |

Thanks for your thoughts my CCFan brothers! We are OK, so are my family and friends. My brother was not far from one of the attacks and his wife couldn't get the kids from school because of the lockdown.. But everything is okay with them. I am in Corsica (France) on a training exercise with my squadron... We are gonna take it up a notch, so we are even better prepared for our mission in Syria. You can imagine that our fingers kinda itch on the triggers now... But, we all have to start realizing here in Europe that our "welcome refugees" mentality comes at a price. And what's happening now is far from over... These were the attacks that were succesfull... Our security agencies have already prevented quite a few, but still there will be some of these fanatics that will succeed in their so called holy mission. It is a reality we will have to learn to live with over here, as long as politicians such as Angela Merkel keep saying "Wir schaffen dass"...  ------------- - Gun control means: using BOTH hands! - Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle... |

Heard about it on my way into work this morning and immediately thought about you dude. The second I heard it I figured you would go to full alert status and it was gonna "Game On" for you. Then I remembered our chat and was like oh boy...Kristof is gonna come out and say....."See, I told you so!". I am glad you are Ok Kristof. I have my baby Emily over there on a 10 day European tour with class. She was in London first then Paris, when the attacks happened. She is fine, thank God, having fun and heading to Italy this afternoon. It is hard to trust all is well and not worry. I did not worry this much when her brother was in Iraq! It has, as you describe, heighten the security levels, which is good. SO sad to see the footage from these whacko's actions. ------------- Js |
