BTW, my '68 289 seems to run better with about 14 Degs initial advance. It could be a distributor thing though. The inital will be what it is at idle. As I have stated before Ford chain and spockets have a retard built in. The fact the the chain streeches and goes further in retard. So unless you have a new chain and sprocket the inital will be a start. The full in in is the number. ------------- SS 201
