Looking to piece back this transom ladder on my wife's Southwind. Let me know if you have anything before I start bending my own tubing.

What it's supposed to look like

HW, this is a long shot but there is a junk Southwind for sale. Maybe you can talk him into selling just the whole ladder assembly.

Too bad it wasn't a few weeks earlier. I'd bought the thing outright for the rebuilt trans, sold you the ladder, kept the 351 and part out the rest.

Good luck.

I think you made the right decision Steve, looking at the ad I wonder why you'd dump that kind of money in a trans rebuild and even then what you'd get. HW can go get it take off what he needs, turn it over preferably in the front yard, cut a door in the transom and Luke has an instant dog house. All those other neighborhood dogs living in cars will be envious.

Well Jackie just unknowingly bought another boat, for her own birthday nonetheless.

It's starting to look like a dog condo complex at my house.

Brought the ladder home last night. She wasn't impressed so it instantly turned into a Father's Day gift for her dad instead. Everyone is happy! LOL

So yes, it is a junk Southwind but it runs and floats. I'll use it a few times before tearing her down. On the windshield I noticed a 1991 season launch pass for William's Bay Wisconsin. Funny, this is about 20 minutes from my house. One of the outer bearings however had come undone and wasn't going to make it home. northcoastidol saved the day helping persuade the old bearing cage off the spindle and getting a new set packed and installed for the uneventful ride home.

Boy, I bet those Hooters girls were thrilled to pose next to that spotless, glistening, sexy, sporty boat.

“So, how was your weekend?”
“Well, let me see…sun burn, stiff neck, screwed up back, assorted aches and pains….yup, my weekend was great, thanks for asking.”

once i explained the crisp handling it was a challenge to get them to go back inside and work

looks like dirt about elbow high near the back but that's actually the remains of the SOUTHWIND 20 light blue paint
