happy Friday everyone, so here the deal got a new fuel pump for my 1973 ski nautique from natiqueparts dot com. very quick as well 2 days from nc   to calif very impressed for 12 dollars shipping.. ok new pump has a tube coming from top is this vent tube being it mot threaded for pressure sny help I be grateful will attach photo

A clear 1/4" vinyl hose connects to that and goes up to the carb. If you see fuel in it that means the diaphragm has gone bad and is leaking. It then would need to be replaced. I will post some pictures on how I connected up on my 69

Thank you sir was almost sure that was the situation. like my parts to be same as what came off but this be ok . I am adding a brand new holly 6140 marine 600cfm also unless some one has better carb I should use ?

I made this up from brass that was bought at a hobby shop and soldered together,pictures speak for themselves---

A new carb will most likely have a port you can connect it up to. It's safer this way if the pump should leak internally it won't get into the bilge or crankcase causing a fire problem. It will flood the intake and cause running problems and making you open the box to see whats going on

Thanks for picts either way can make the piece or hook up to new carb if has the nipple. You been great help anything I can ever do let me know.
