I've successfully reassembled the MV 1? On the 75 & 76. Figured I'd clean and lube the MV2 on the '93 prior to installing new cables. After reassembling the controller I notice that when I pull the neutral pin I can still move the throttle backwards AND forward when in neutral, unlike the older controllers. Is this normal and Was it always like? I used up all my white lithium grease and don't want to pull it apart and have to run out for more.

You can move the throttle forwards and reverse with the pin pulled on every morse I've ever used. Not full actuation, (one way is physically limited by the pulled pin on the mv1 and mv2) but at least to the idle detent or so in both directions.

Yea both ways but you don't get full range forward.

Bonehead move I kept checking it from the backside with the plate the cable attaches to WITHOUT the throttle arm on. Of course it has full motion that way, the throttle arm is what limits the forward motion because it hits the neutral pin.
