So has anyone put a radio in their older Nautiques? How much work is there in doing it? I was looking to put a radio, 4 seperate speakers, and a self powered sub. If you have done it share some pics if you don't mind.

Hey Jeremy,
I have a 76 SN and asked the same question on here less than a year ago. If your boat is set-up like mine, with a spotters bench seat, there isn't a lot of dash room to play with. I was close to purchasing a head unit with a remote controller than would fit into a small gauge size hole but didn't have the heart to drill or cut into the dash.
So, I ended up researching and purchasing a Bose Soundlink that hooks up with the Bluetooth on my smartphone. It works awesome. I don't bother using it while my engines running, because you cant beat the classic inboard exhaust sound. We use it when were swimming or hanging out at the sand bar. It says its good for an 8hr charge but I find it goes way longer. Just in case I installed a USB charging port under my dash to recharge the Bose if necessary. Just a thought....

I got a cheap $20 one just to try it and it sounds way far greater than ever expected. My friend has a better one with a little flip-up solar panel, that's what i'd look for.

Don't waste money or cut holes for a head unit if you're like the rest of the world and use a device or phone for music. Buy an amp and proper splitters to attach a 3.5mm mic to rca cord directly to the amp. Tune the amp and sub with your phone equalizer set where you want it to stay and never look back at a head unit. The amp gets hidden and other than speakers it all looks stock.

There's no way I could cut holes for a stereo or speakers in the 72' Mustang so I opted for a JBL Bluetooth speaker. The thing is pretty loud and about the only time I ever listen to it is when we're anchored. It's worked well and most everyone has a playlist on their phone so let your friends/family play DJ and of course there is always Pandora . I prefer the HolmanMoody subwoofers myself underway!
